my space $15 billion. mark foley – nasty man. i wonder what’s more interesting?
Hey, how you guys doing? Yeah, I know I haven’t been online enough to make any posts, but I didn’t have anything to talk about. I mean, I had things I found were interesting, but from my stats report, it seems people are coming for the funny stuff, and for the plugins stuff. But, unfortunately, today isn’t one of those either. Today, I wanted to talk about My Space. Not the whole idea behind it, as many have done it before and to tell you the truth, I am very much tedious from the fact that anyone can actually sit down and analyze My Space. Unless you are a social psychologist (which recently talked about more people over the age of 40 are using My Space from since 2003), I really don’t care what you have to say and find it not credible at all.
Recently, at Mediapost.com, I saw an article that definitely caught my attention. Anything dealing with millions of dollars, is always an eye catcher for me, and I am sure everyone else. Remember how My Space was sold for $580 million? Well, it seems My Space is worth more than that, wayyyyyy more! Like, about $20 billion dollars!
By the jist of the article, it seems that the former owner of My Space, Intermix Media, Inc, under sold My Space to News Corp. He’s claiming that My Space is worth $20 billion dollars and wants federal authorities to investigate into this claim. Not only that, but he wants the purchase of My Space to be undone by News Corp. I say, it sure sucks to be you Brad Greenspan!
The only nice thing about all of this, in his request, is that if News Corp undoes their purchase, My Space will go back as a public domain. This, as he claims, would benefit My Space and help out it’s shareholders, not only that but they, the shareholders, should be compensated also. Seeing as My Space worth has grown extremely quickly, from since a year ago. About $12 billion to be exact. That’s some chunk of change, don’t you think?
Alot of the legal jargon, can be read at the Free My Space website. I went there, but found it highly tedious, and would prefer for the professionals to take note of it, rather than an amateur like myself.
So, what do you think? Should News Corp give up their rights to My Space and undo the $580 million they purchased it for initially? Do you think that Brad Greenspan has any say now, seeing as he didn’t do a better job at pricing his worthy creation? I don’t know, all I know is that I never had shares in Intermix Media, Inc, so I have nothing to get from it lol.
All I hope, is that this doesn’t have some kind of effect on My Space. The site is ridiculously increasing in numbers, and I say, millions of people will be highly upset if something negative goes down as a result of this. Brad Greenspan, would get a kick in the ass from 120 plus millions of people, who are current obsessive My Space users, who either use the service to keep in contact with friends, or just to network for other sociable or economical purposes.
Whatever it may be, I am keeping an eye on them. Cause I mean, $15 billion is a lot of money.

MySpace Founder Seeks Buyout Probe
Wendy DavisBrad Greenspan, founder of former MySpace parent company Intermix Media Inc., Thursday asked the federal authorities to investigate the company’s $580 million acquisition by News Corp.
In a report posted at the site www.freemyspace.com, he claims that MySpace is actually worth somewhere around $20 billion–or around 35 times what News Corp. paid for the company. “News Corp.’s market valuation has increased by approximately $12 billion dollars since the transaction occurred less than a year ago,” states the report. “As a publicly traded company, Myspace would likely command an even greater valuation which was the path Myspace was going down for the benefit of Intermix shareholders and Myspace users in the early summer of 2005.”
Greenspan is asking that News Corp.’s purchase of MySpace be undone and MySpace restored as “an independent online network owned by the public.” In addition, he’s asking that Intermix shareholders be compensated.
The report is the latest attack Greenspan has mounted on the deal. Last September, he unsuccessfully tried to derail the deal by offering shareholders $13.50 a share for Intermix. The $580 million paid by News Corp. came to $12 a share.
Shortly before News Corp. agreed to purchase Intermix, New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer sued the company for allegedly surreptitiously installing adware and burying notice of its downloadable adware programs in the fine print of its end-user license agreement. In June 2005, the company settled the charges by agreeing to pay a $7.5 million fine, and to permanently stop distributing adware programs.
Greenspan last October agreed to pay $750,000 to settle the adware charges brought by Spitzer.
Besides that, I enjoyed my day eating chinese at a very eventful evening, at a very high class resturant, celebrating the coming of Chinese to my country. Imagine, 200 years! Not only that, but I’ve been busy with searching for more plugins and themes. Man, I am obsessed now. Maybe, when I do get my domain, I will lay up a list of all these domains I have. So far, I think I have close to 40. I have also some interesting plugins, which would help some with your blogging experience. A lot of the themes I have, are not generic word press themes, in that they aren’t the typical 1 column, 2 column or 3 column themes we are accustom to. Some look like professional, business websites. While some stil resemble blogs, but incorporate the idea of the columns, in a more interesting manner. I haven’t seen any of them at the word press theme viewer. I have seen some, but not the interesting ones.
Well, I guess that’s all for now people, lol. I wanted to hit up on the Mark Foley, and the scandal that’s going on right now. But, I think Yahoo is sufficiently keeping track of this man. He must be very popular in the Yahoo Searches these pass days.
Just out of fun, I went searching for the Mark Foley Scandal, and wanted to get more of the scripts that’s been sent and read over the internet and in the media.
I just think it’s funny how everyone’s trying to cover their ass in the connection with knowing about this guys, very disturbing behavior. There’s no shame in being gay, but I presume there’s shame in being Republican and gay. Can you imagine the amount of inner sin this man has? How about guilt? Wow, he must be tossing and turning with urges every night, trying to pray to the Lord that they be washed away. Apparently, it wasn’t washed away that much. Not only that, it’s sad that they have to jump on the scapegoat method, by saying that he has a drinking problem. Yeah sure. Hmm, how about he’s just sick? Don’t blame it on the drinking, blame it on self-control.
Then there’s the I was molested deal. Come on, why is it that everyone who has done something to shame themselves, gotta blame someone for molesting them? Not only that, why does it have to be a priest! Maybe because we can’t go back and find him? Probably, the dude might be so old he doesn’t even remember his name or knows he’s a priest, far less for being able to recall molestation of a child. “I was molested, I was molested!” – the theme for every cry these people make. Man, next time I do something wrong, like cheat on an exam, or be mean to my girlfriend, I am going to say I was molested! Maybe, just maybe, they’d believe me and sympathize for me. Please, what a ridiculous and ludicrous attempt to make people feel sorry for you. Yet again dude, you’re just a pervert who lacks self-control. That’s it. Why not just come out and say it, I lack self control!
Example:

Awww Foley, that is so sweet! Such play with words he has. I miss you too! Those are some words spoken from Foley through instant messenger, to one of his page’s. I would have loved to know, was it AIM, Yahoo, ICQ? I mean, MSN? Tell me, Foley, tell me. Which is your instant messenger of choice? I guess you don’t understand that these things can always be saved huh? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Maybe it was the alcohol clouding your mind. Just maybe.
I find it appropriate that the last article was linked from Yahoo, with suggesting to check out Planet Out for more on the details of his transcripts. If you didn’t know, Planet Out, is a gay website. Not porn, thank God, but in relation to news, personal ads and so forth.
I don’t know. I think he dug himself into a neverending pit, when he said he was gay and molested. Ah, a gay molested molester. Wow. Even though, it doesn’t seem he has molested anyone, so I’d take that back. But, it sure looks like he wanted some action from one of those pages. I dunno, what you think? But then, I am seeing information on other articles talking about Foley, trying to meet one of the pages. I don’t know, what was he going the kid for? To say, “I miss you”? Maybe.
Well, well, well, Mr. Foley, we got you now don’t we! I don’t know if you’re thinking what I am thinking, but nothing good could have come from him meeting this kid, at all. Why does he need to know all these details? I am sure the page didn’t ask him all those personal stuff. The shame, the shame. What can come from such conversations. Poor guy, just doesn’t know when to stop now does he?
I found an article from the same Planet Out website, that’s dated 2003, and it seems that Foley denies being gay. Dude, this was your downfall. Took you 3 years to do it, but it’s finally here.
We always try to tell each other, to be truthful to oneself. Not only that, but we understand that the truth is the most offensive to us. When we’ve been hiding something and we’re confronted with the truth, we become very hostile. This is how I can sometimes tell if someone is lying, and the truth is what I am accusing them off. The hostility is very obvious, and there’s the “Why are you overreacting so?” All the clear signs that someone’s lying. Not only that, there’s the fact when one says they don’t want to make something public knowledge, or that they don’t want to discuss that. A simple, “No”, would have laid people off his backs. The fact that he didn’t want to say Yes or No, makes it clear, that it’s a Yes. Cause, it’s obvious, you don’t want to lie to yourself, so you don’t say anything. If you say yes, we’d just leave you alone. But Instead of saying say, you are afraid of the consequences.
Denying oneself true being, is the hardest thing anyone can do. We’re afraid of it. For the meer fact that we don’t feel human anymore, when we try to deny who we are. Coming to terms with it, is the only cure. I’ve learnt this and I know that sometimes you don’t want to put things in public, but I believe if you deny it, or not say anything at all the person draws their own conclusion, and most of the time the silence confirms their conclusion.
This scandal has brought new interest in me. For the fact that I am now willing, with a purpose, to find these transcripts of his conversations with his page, ex-page, whatever. I am sure there’s copies of it floating around cyberspace. I mean, you would be surrpised some of the things you can find online. My friend used to find things on the internet, that experts had a hard time digging up. Maybe if I was still friends with him, I’d have the documents of the conversations downloading to my computer already, but because I know that he could have found it, means that it’s there for my finding.
Stay tuned, maybe I’d have some intersting Mark Foley readings for you guys. Cause I know, that everyone is very curious on what this man had to say. I know, I am.
